Sadly, it took them 2 weeks from the time my car wrecked to getting the supplement to my original estimate!!! I am po'd. The body shop ordered the additional parts today and need that before they will continue

Best of luck.
thanks for the info. I got my estimate back today. They say its around $3500 parts and labor. They are in the process of disassembling the front end to check for more damage but they say its a 12 day process. I asked about the aftermarket bumper, the guy at the shop says it will delay finish time by a few days if i get it. I think i may hold off on the bumper till a later date. I need the car back asap and dont need any further delays. They say i can order it and bring it to them but they have to inspect it, fit it and all this other stuff. Seems like another hassle i just dont wanna deal with right now. I will sleep on it but im leaning towards just leaving it as is with the OEM bumper. What yall think??

OEM GT/CS front kit retails for $399. Part #:6R3Z-6320049-AA

shouldn't be any extra delays if you go this route.

Just keep in mind that labor, paint, etc. is being covered already and you are making up the difference for an upgrade. When you decide later to change the appearance of your front end, it will just cost you more because of the above and you're stuck with a bumper cover. If you need your car, you need it. Tough choice.

Ok so there is a Ford Dealership across from where I work. Talked to the guy at the parts counter. He says he is not sure the GT500 or GT/CS bumper will fit on my car correctly because they are for the 07-09 models. But I think they will fit ok. Im leaning towards the gt500, a ford dealership around here has it for $398. OEM bumper was $366 according to the estimate. So will it fit for sure?? The gt500 bumper on a 06 GT?

GT500 is hot
Not sure about the fit.. but I don't see why not since the '05-'09 GT body is the same, as mentioned above. Hopefully pascal will chime back in and can give more details

The only difference I saw was that the Insulator Outer was different. along wit some other random parts. Im gonna stop past the shop and talk to him a little later to see what we can do. But im shooting for the GT500 bumper. Something good has to come out of this! lol

as far as your rim goes and most of the stuff actually its pretty much up to the adjuster who checks the car to decide on what they r going to be replacing or not. when i got into an accident i asked for another adjuster to come out and take a second look and he was alot nicer and he actually got more stuff included. somthing you might wanna try doing may or may not work for you.
