Another VERY HAPPY Eibach Pro Kit Spring Set customer!
So first off thank you to the people that helped me with the info before I did the install. Also, thank you to taco bill. I would have done it on my own, but I loosely followed his guide and it did eliminate all the guess work. Especially as my spring kit didn't have a instruction sheet with it!
That said.
I LOVE these springs. I have driven a lowered vehicle before (my 89 CRX was lowered 4" actualy... lol) but I have to say, I was blown away by how silky smooth these ride. I can tell its lowered, and I can feel that its a stiffer spring, but even so, the ride is just smooth as can be. Not jerky or anything on bumps, just feel the compression and rebound a little more.
Anyone looking at getting springs and doing a install. Its really easy. Of all the mods I have done, this was one of the easiest, only being trumped by the mufflers. It really is just unbolt and bolt up the new stuff. Only thing to take particular care is, if you are re-using your factory strut mount, compress the spring slowly, always have a finger keeping the bearing together, and just move slow so you don't loose the ball bearings out of it.
To me this spring kit is just the right amount of drop. I have about 1" maybe 1.5" wheel to fender gap front and rear. Its level, sits nice, cleaned up my gaps, and the handling is just wonderful. Perfect set.
So next will be the rest of the suspension, though it is a few months out, to round it out I am planning:
BMR Front Sway arm
BMR Bump Steer kit
J&M strut mount
Tokico D-Specs
Saleen Watts link kit (includes rear end links and rear sway arm.)
So that should finish out the suspension on this car, but got to say, for just dropping springs on this car, I could not be happier with ride and handling.
I'll snap a pic when the cars not covered in snow! Thanks again MFers!
