05-09 vs 10-present

My biggest props to the 10-11 exterior would be the hips. The hips on the 10 are 100 times better than the non-existent hips of the 05-09 quarter panels. But I hate the rear end, and the blacked out pony.
But I guess it could be worse.
At least they stayed with the tri-bar in 2010.

Also, the vintage Shelby rear design is hard to replicate on our S197s because of how the trunk is laid out. I believe that the Retromods International model is the best execution of that concept there is. They have worse ones; believe me.

I prefer the 2010 rears, I didn't at first tho. In fact, it was my friend who wasn't buying a mustang who pointed out how much nicer/sharper the 2010 was. The more I saw them in person, the more I wanted to go with the 2010....
The finance rates were a great motivater!

2010 has grown on me. I like it.
That said, and I've said for a while, that I wish I'd have bought a used GT500 instead of a new GT.
Now I haven't exactly kept up, but rumblings I hear from my GT500 buddy is that the 2010s are more restrictive in terms of modding. He says a 05-09 GT500 and a 2010 GT500 with the same mods (pulley & tune or KB blower swap) are showing a 50hp difference (less hp with the 2010). Supposedly its the PCM. I dunno...I don't have a GT500
