Not ALL Hursts suck, just the S197 shifter - the ball/socket rattles - I know what I'm talking about:

this is true i had that problom and no one seems to understand they always think its the handel and it in not

i am glad i waited on getting a shifter.
and the only way of doing the Hurst stick on a MGW shifter is to do this.......

Didn't get it in. My SHRs were ready from paint earlier than I thought they would be so those got put on instead. They look freaking amazing! The Hurst is sitting in my bedroom as we speak.
HOPEFULLY I can get to it next week. Work is stupid crazy right now, doing mid fiscal year budget execution stuff, working like 13 hour days. Trying to schedule a day off next week to get the Hurst and my AM hood scoop on the car. I will be sure to let you know, since you seem so interested, as soon as I get the Hurst in and get some "actual experience" driving it around.

07gtdude - Oooh I've been lusting after the SHR louvers for a long time... they are IMO the best looking louvers - congrats on that mod, I'm SURE they do look amazing!
Please understand that my interest in your Hurst is only due to the fact that I've put many hours into engineering a fix to the RATTLE & have helped many others... So seeing that you're going with the Hurst, I'm curious to see if you'll have the same misfortune as we did... & of course I'd share the solution to the problem with you. I wish you luck with it.
