Default O/R X SLP LM2 resonators?

Well my quest continues for the New Edge sound that I will probably never achieve until I buy one. But Im wondering if anyone has tried these set ups on a S197.

O/R X pipe, SLP LM axle back and SLP LM1 or LM2 resonators.

O/R Prochamber with SLP LM axle back and SLP LM1 or SLP LM2 resonators.

My buddy has a 04 GT with O/R X and SLP LM1 and it is pure ear sex. Sounds so amazing and I want to try to get as close to that sound as possible. So does anyone think one of these combos would sound remotely close?

I am currently running a pypes o/r h and MAC axle back and it sounds good cruising but the trumpeting is killling me and it doesnt scream at WOT like I thought it would. Any suggestions guys?

I have a catted-x and LM1 and I love the tone! I think if it was O/R it would be too loud but that just my opinion. would still like to try sometime and see!

I had an O/R x with flowmasters (cause my LM hadnt come in yet) and it sounded like freakin nascar!

first of all you will never get these 3v engines to sound like a 2v, so you can give up that quest right now.
the LM 2 resonators should sound a lot like M80's.
the LM 1 resonator has no packing material so it will sound almost like straight pipe, which may be ok with cats, but with o/r midpipe will not sound good.

I agree with onderful. Our car will not sound like a newedge or sn95. My set-up is Prochamber w/hi-flows, resonators/glasspack muffler welded before the axle (hybrid midmuffler) and SLP LM. I haven't really heard anyone else drive my car, so to me it sounds similar to when I had magnapacks, which is not a bad thing

i agree but the mufflers at the rear of the car doesnt sound right with the 3v's my friend has a 4v 96 cobra with flowmasters and an o/r h and his car still sounds super good and i think its cuz of the mid-mufflers

I dunno I cant decide between a couple options.

Option 1: MAC LT's, MAC O/R Prochamber, MAC Axle Backs

Option 2: MAC LT's, MAC O/R Prochamber, SLP LM

Option 3: Long Tubes, O/R X pipe, SLP LM resonators, SLP LM axle backs.

I really dont know what to do.

I would go with option 1. SLPs LM sound best when you have either the stock cats or hi-flow cats and resonators.

I listened to your video when you had slps without resonators and I really liked it

Thanks, but I also have hi-flow cats to help quiet and smooth out the sound.
