MGW shifter with Hurst stick

MGW shifter with Hurst stick
i found this on another forum. so i decided to do it myself, and i couldn't be happier. I got the new MGW shifter and found a Hurst stick on ebay for 45 bucks (included the stick, white ball, jam nut, and two bolts). I ordered a second MGW handle(20 bucks) when i ordered the shifter, so i can switch back out to the stock ****(not going to happen).
so the cost was 65 bucks.
i cut the MGW handle around the inch and a half mark. then cut about 3/4 of an inch off the bottom of the Hurst stick. and had them welded up. wala. the look of the Hurst is awesome, but they sure are crappy shifters. so there was only 1 choice of shifter, MGW.
here are some pics... and i also have a Roush white ball and Grabber Pony polished collar for sale in the classified section.

thanks. i could not be any happier with it. shifts soo nice, feels great, MGW is set at 0 turns right now.
only thing is the guy who welded it, stuck the stick in the vise with nothing around it. and he put some marks on it, oo well. i sat down with my Dremel for over an hour, cutting, grinding, marking, grinding again, cutting again, and again. i did not put a single scratch on it, took him 5 minutes to weld it and its marked up. but you really don't notice it at all when its in the car.
the stick is not going anywhere. the weld goes up each side, over the top, and down the other side. the hurst stick is actually notched, not just a straight cut.
