2010 Roush 427R
Local dealership is taking in a very low mileage (2 0r 3 hundred) 2010 427R. Even with a steep discount off MSRP (to near 40k) I can't see the value compared to 2011 GTs coming out with similar performance numbers. Any thoughts? What price point might make you jump?

Well, the Roush is a limited production car. I'd think it will hold its' value much better. There was a show on SpeedTV recently called "The Art Of Performance Engineering". It detailed the engineering process that goes into the Roush Mustangs. Pretty impressive. They put a LOT into the suspension.

I'd rather have the Roush personally.
Way better suspension, already blown, has same 6 speed tranny, already has shorty shifter, looks pretty damn cool (-minus tails of course)
A Roush 427 to me would be a nicer daily driver and occasional track car. The suspension/brake work on those cars will blow away a 2011 with the Track Pack.
and if you want the 302/5.0 "honors", simply stroke/forge the 4.6 3v in the Roush and you'll have more HP and the cool factor. You can get stroker kits for as low as $1,200

Thanks, guys. A lot to think about. I had pretty much discounted the whole idea until reading your replies.
I'll look at it again tomorrow or Saturday. It's Grabber Blue with white stripes, 20-inch chrome wheels. Not sure at this time whether it has the brake or exhaust package.
I think I'd have to see it under 40k to get in it. Nothing wrong with my current ride.

I could be wrong here but i have read reviews on the 11's and they are getting 4.5 second 0-60 times and high 12 1/4 times. The roush is slower 0-60 and also slightly slower in the 1/4.
I would go with the naturally aspirated 2011 give it a few suspension upgrades and you have one MONSTER of a car.
Sorry to say but it looks like these new cars are gonna smoke pretty much every other car on the market in the same performance category.
I should also mention the 2011's are six speeds and will be getting better fuel economy. Roushs are badass but to me it would be an easy choice
Brand new 2011 GT. If i had the cash id be in one as soon as they hit the dealerships.
