Default 2010 Sound Induction Tube

Hello there I am looking to eliminate the sound induction tube from my 2010 GT and am looking to see if anyone may know the part number to the rubber grommet on the firewall? I have gone by a couple of Ford dealers and they all say they have no clue on the part number I would have to bring them one to match up. This is the only complaint I have about the 2010 Mustangs.

I guess noone has done this? I would of thought with the JLT intake not having the provision on it that people would have by now.

Sounds odd that they would be clueless on a part number for a simple grommet/plug.

If you have no luck and can measure the diameter you can get one here-

Might try contacting JLT. I think most people just end up leaving the small firewall half of the tube in place.

I think people plug it up with whatever they can find...either some rubber grommet they had laying around the garage or using some kind of dynamat or something similar to seal it up.

Here's the Roush Performance Products part number, W651016, maybe they can translate it to a Ford part number for you.

I think the V6 plug is supplied with the Procharger kit also. You might see if you can get it or just the part number from them. This is on my list to do also as IMO the tube is pretty silly in the first place.

I'm also interested in this part number if you find it. I ripped out that stupid tube the week I bought the car.

When I installed the JLT CAI, I obviously removed the tube, but left the parts that come out of the firewall and into the engine bay (don't know what that is called). I then plugged that up with the 1" version of these from Lowes ($2.39 for a pack of 4):

http://www.lowes.com/pd_246508-255-4440595N_0_?productId=3027851&Ntt=leg%20tips&Ntk=i _products&pl=1&currentURL=/pl__0__s?newSearch=true$Ntt=leg%20tips$y=0$x=0

It looks very good -- very clean. Now, if you're looking to remove everything right down to the firewall, and then plug up that hole, this won't help.
