Thumbs up

So I opened up the hood and began double checking all the clamps for and lose ones and then went to unscrew the bolts around the MAF sensor to check it, when I noticed something: both bolts around the MAF were lose.

So after checking the MAF and screwing back on the bolts tightly, I took my Stang for a drive and sure enough, the problem was solved.

Thanks for the help.

Good to hear you resolved the problem!
As the other members have mentioned, I highly recommend getting a tune to fully utilize the CAI's capabilities. I had an Airaid CAI installed for about 8 months (without a tune) and I felt only minimal HP increase (3-5 HP)
However, once I installed the custom tune, I felt a huge difference in performance and I only have a V6. I could only imagine what a custom tune would feel like on a GT!! =-)

+1

Instead I had a BBK CAI which required no tune. After giving it much thought, I bit the bullet and got a custom tune from Brenspeed. It made a world of difference for me. Not only does it take full advantage of your intake, the tune changes the restrictive stock settings put in by Ford. I have an auto and it took away throttle lag and made it aggressive. It was no longer sluggish feeling. It's to the point where I don't let anyone drive my car because it's so much different from your average commuter car.
