Glass roof installed on my 08 GT/CS

Yep, $2500.00 ain't cheap but, compared to a convertible price, it's half. If you go to fordvehicles.com right now and click on Mustang/build and price, you'll see it immediately costs $5000 to get a convertible vs a hard top. Nice sun option choice to me. I wanted it as soon as Ford started giving the option. But, I took a test drive in one on a Ford dealer lot before I pulled the trigger and bought/installed this. That's what I would recommend for everyone considering a glass roof Mustang. Go take a ride in one at the dealer.

SaddleUp, it's true many people would not like to hack into the roof to do this. I felt pretty good about having a certified installer do the job. They did a good job. They installed a temperature/compass/auto dimming rear view mirror too. I always wanted that too. I was going to get the Mustang Directional Mirrors also but the price was $100 plus $150 to install and I told myself...enough already. Here's the site on the directional mirrors:

Awesome ... That would've been a cool option to have had on my 2010 .... Was that $2500 installed? That's only $500 more than Ford gets for it as an option .. although the factory version includes a sunscreen.

On very hot days, I close the shade until the A/C cools things off. It doesn't get old, trust me. Riding with the shade closed (i.e. like having no glass roof) gets old fast once you are used to the "open" feeling.

Dmhines, yes $2500 installed. That was the installer in Maryland. The Virginia installer told me the total with tax included would be $3150.00. Mine with the Maryland installer was $2500 plus 6% sales tax ($150) so, the total was $2650. The temp/compass mirror was $350 installed.
