Default Rear window blurry after tint

Recently had the back 3 windows tinted. The shop had a good reputation and used "Johnson" films. Problem is this, car headlights in the rearview mirror are blurred and have a haze around them, in the daylight. At night, in the dark, its a real nightmare. Is it the angle of the rear window, or just a bad install. Any other thoughts or experiences with this particular problem, before I have it ripped out??

Sounds like every tint I've ever had, I just thought it was normal for something covering glass to distort the view throught the glass.

Every tint I've seen always has some cloudiness to it. Not blurry but cloudy.

Mine aren't cloudy at all and I've had them 4 years, are they fairly new? You know it takes like a week for them to completely cure or whatever you want to call it.

Tint job was done Sat June 19, nine days ago. Car has been out in the sun in the 80+ degree weather here in so Jersey. I've heard about the "cure" time, but the blur and haze surrounding any light source has not changed since day one. The shop said they would re do the back window but I don't think I want to take another chance after this experience. Probably I'll have it taken out altogether this week. It's ashame, looks great and keeps the interior cooler, but all the haze and blur is just too annoying to live with. It's like a dirty window in a smokers car that hasn't been cleaned in years.

How long have you had the tint? It can take days for all the glue and stuff to dry out.

Don't know if it makes any difference or not but, I went with the #20 tint which is just a shade lighter than the blacked out #15. Maybe the darker the tint the less distortion? I've seen so may Mustangs and Corvette rear windows tinted that I can't believe if my problem was normal, that anyone would tint the back windows of these cars.
