Default Got $8,500 off MSRP on new 2010 Mustang GT Yesterday

3 weeks ago we traded our 06 V6 Mustang in for a new 2010 SRT8 Challenger. We got $8,000 off MSRP.

Going almost 3 weeks without the Mustang we bought a 2010 GT for $8,500 off the MSRP.

I was very dissapointed with the below 3,000rpm performance of the 2011 5.0 auto The 2010 4.6 Mustang has more power below 3,000rpms and the 5 speed auto shifts much better than the 6 speed auto. Mustang. Above 3,000rpms the new 5.0 is awesome.

The fact the 2010 was $12,000 cheaper than the 2011 may of been a "small factor"

I reserved a dyno on Sept 12th so I'll be running our 2010 SRT8 Challenger, 2010 Mustang GT, 2000 Camaro SS and maybe my 383 stroker powered 1999 Suburban. I'm curious to what that 383 stroker motor is putting down. It's pretty fast for a Burb.

Steve Saleen was at the Dealership yesterday and they have some of his cars for sale.

I like what they did to mask the ugly butt of the new Mustang and plan on upgrading ours minus the big wing.

Wow! Congratulations on the new car! It's gorgeous

Despite the 5.0's being out, I still have my eye on the 2010's too. The 2011's are priced so ridiculously high.

Have fun with your new toy, and thanks for the awesome pics

That is the new 5.0 Auto with stock gears, huge tires and a tune with exhaust mods.

I break the tires loose on the street between 1-2 and chirps on hot pavement into 3rd.

Great deal on your 10 and have fun with it, BUT not even close to the performance of an 11 if truth be told.

Grats on the new Stang. I almost went out to Landmark yesterday, but can't really stand their Saleen people so opted to go to the Woodburn show instead.

Great deal! If you invested half of the amount you saved in a supercharger you would surpass 5.0 performance.

If I planned to keep my '10 GT longer that's what I would do. However, I'm going to trade it in for the 2013/2014 redesign.

366 whp doesn't = 480 crank . Even with an auto it's closer to 440. Lower (numerical) gears will also give slightly higher readings because they have to use more power to spin the dyno at the same speed.

I've been toying with the idea of a Boss but I don't think I can give up my glass roof, sync, etc. I too am planning on buying a 50th anniversary but I may look for a used 5.0 to "tide me over" once my warranty expires (21 months).

Awesome deal OP, 12K cheaper LOL! Enjoy those toys!

Congrats...how does the GT run against that SRT?

I done a similar deal on my GT vert about 6wks ago also. I just couldn't justify the difference for an 11'. I basically got a well equipped 10' gt vert for about the same as a similarly equipped 11' 5.0 coupe...maybe a little less even. Saving that much allowed me to start my modding already. The first week I had it i installed a set of Corsa Extreme's. I just got my Steeda suspension ironed out(i had to install Steeda's adj. spring seats in the rear) and now it looks and handles great while keeping a nice ride.
