Default My New Shift Handle

It all started when a friend gave me a couple of Mopar plastic pistol grip shifter grips, I had to figure some use for them so I whittled out a handle that would thread onto the Hurst lever in my Mustang.

Say what you want but, IMHO, this is absolutely the most natural-feeling shift grip going, the thumb rest is more comfortable than the the billet wannabe pistol grip handles. Makes me want to go out and drive just so I can grab onto the handle.

I might like it painted black. But that would retract from the retro look you must have been trying to achieve there.

I like it , but doesn't go with anything in your interior O.o

Whoa, completely awesome! I would paint it grey, black or another darker color so it matches your interior, but besides that, I would try it out. I might not keep it, but it doesn't look that bad, either. Props for the ingenuity!

I think it's really cool especially since it's a custom job, but agree it probably looks a little out of place in the car.

Looks pretty cool. I think it just needs to be a different color. It can be hard to be different.

I'm a Mopar owner (1971 Plymouth Road Runner) and a 'Stang owner (see sig)...

I can admire the fabrication work you did to make it work, but to me, this is wrong on so many levels I don't know where to start. BUT, it's your car, and if you like it, that's all that matters.

its not really my style but kudos for doing the custom job and it doesn't matter as long as its what you like, its not like you're putting a double decker civic wing on the car you made something that was functional for you
