your dream race car?

your dream race car?
So, assuming you could have either one, would you go with the 2012 Cobra Jet Mustang ($103,000)
http://www.fordracing.com/news/detail/?article=38767
or the 2012 Boss 302S ($79,000)?

Both are turn-key, track-only cars, so can't be driven on the street legally.
But assuming you won the lottery... which one would YOU get?

Of the two choices you gave, I'd have to go with the Boss
BUT... Ford did make an even better choice: The GTX1

What V6 said. I would take a ZR1 and mod the hell out of it.
But out of the two, I would buy the Boss because it is an actual track car, not a drag-only car.
...and then I would buy a Ford GT and put twin turbos on it.

Check out this video... it's pretty short (only 3 minutes), but trust me, it DOESN'T end like you would expect LOL: http://www.snotr.com/video/6077

I would take a Saleen S7 (too bad they don't make those anymore).
It had the old pushrod 427 engine in it, but it really smoked the tires just by the slightest step on the gas.
I wonder why Ford has yet to reinvent the big block into a modular? All the modulars so far are small blocks, going up to 10 cylinders I think.
Imagine a modular true big bore long stroke big block with DOHC, TiVCT, and all the damn refinements the small block modulars of today

the Cobra Jet is my choice. hands down.
my dream race car is a 1/4 mile, torque off the line, give you whiplash with a smile kind of race car.
i won't need a radio, mufflers, A/C, or any of that wimpy crap. just ***** out speed!
the Boss or the ZR1 cannot do this. check the slo-mo @ 3:20
