Default Running nitto nt555's during the rainy winter

I purchased a new set of black 18x9 saleen s-style wheels with some nitto nt555's and had them installed on my gt yesterday. My question is how will the tires handle in wet weather that rarely drops down to 30 degrees here in the sf bay area.
Also when I had the wheels installed yesterday my TPMS dash light never popped on. Is this normal?

I ran them on the rear of my '07 GT Vert. They were better in dry over the stock but in the rain, they were slightly better but nothing to brag about at all.

I have been running my pzero neros that have so little tread they hit the wear bar like a month ago. This is in the snowy winters in central ohio. It's actually really dangerous and stupid, but I am getting new tires this week. I haven't come close to wrecking yet though and we have had almost 10 inches in the last week.

I suspect that the compound in the 555's will be a bit slick in cooler temps, wet or dry, but I'd also suspect that they'd be reasonable in rain providing you don't drive like a moron. Tires are like guns; they're only really dangerous when you're a careless ********.

i run 555's year round in texas. they do fine in the rain, no better or worse than the stockers imho. they lose grip in teh cool weather but they are fine if you are careful. i had them on my 05 too and we got snow and sleet a bit last year. drove them in that when i had to since its my only car and was fine.

What he said. I have them on my car and live in the Puget Sound region of Washington (about 30 miles north of Seattle). No problem in high 30's and wet. However, I usually drive like a sane person in traffic.

The nitto 555's run fine in the rain, assuming you drive reasonably in the rain. I would be more worried with the colder temp + rain. I've never hydroplaned but I had a small slip going from a stop on a small slope. Nothing I'm too concerned about as I don't push my luck with inclement weather.

I guess I got the poopy set cuz mine SUCK a$$ in the rain. Back to back my stockers are way better in the rain than the 555's. I will never buy nittos again after running this set.
