Too raspy for my liking, congratz! Howcome this one sounds so different? Maybe its just the placement of your video recorder....

Roy,

The video you posted says with XO-Pipe which I'm assuming means offroad x-pipe. The video starbai posted has the stock H-pipe (not sure why he wrote stock X-pipe), which have a considerably different tone than with an X.

H's tend to lean more towards being muscular and deep, while X will usually result in a higher revving / European / exotic V8 sound.

Sorry folks, I actually just didn't know the terminology. I just meant 'that piece' didn't know that one was technically called an X and another called an H.

Either way to clarify, I've got the stock H, no X for me.

My point was that I only did the Corsa Axleback mufflers, and didn't go with their 'x-pipe' option.

Reason I didn't do so is beacuse I assumed it would make it too loud, drone-y for my taste...

The way it sounds now, I actually quite like it, its loud when i want it to be and sounds completely stock when I want it to be.

Was I wrong in my assumptions on what the X-Pipe would do to sound?

x pipe is more raspy than an h pipe.

from your other posts, i think you will be happy how you have it now.

sounds great to me!

So if at this point, I'd like less Rasp, and more grunt... my only option would be to swap out the axle backs all together for something other than Corsas?

These cars are raspy man.. I thought the same thing when I put on my magnaflows, then dropped the stock x pipe and went for the cat delete and offroad with american racing long tube headers...

I am pretty sure I will get a lower note when i drop the Magnaflows for just the straight headers, but for now I love it and it is really loud and sounds awesome to me! It isnt the old pushrod v8 sound, and you wont get it. We redline at 7200 that is different...

This is starting to become a good exhaust clip sticky.

The Corsa's sound great.

I alway's like the sound of stainless:

that does sound awesome, but its so freakin loud lol... I like the volume I get now... its loud enough but not obnoxious... and also the best part = no drone what so ever.

Even at the end of that video you posted daredevil... around 1:55 ish... u can still hear plenty of rasp. Guess just gotta get used to it.

Just wish there was less rasp lol

Sound is subjective.....I love the loud radical/raspy sound. If I could drive open header legally during the summer in a none daily driver or DD it....I would

There is a nice collection of sound here....I think the Magnaflow gives the least raspy sound.

Good Luck
