Default HELPP!!

I recently purchased a 2006 v6 automatic mustang. Its ran great for me and i really enjoy it but here lately the wrench warning light has been coming on. I toke it to the dealership and they didn't have a clue, they ran a few test and reset my computer in my car. This seemed to work for a good month but the warning light is back! any permanent solutions?? Anything will help.

Thanks!

Do you have any more information on what may be going on or is that it?

Try a different dealer.

Take it to a shop that will give a free ODB-II trouble-code read. Pepboy's will do one for free will it not?

This way you can at least have the codes to look up and give here. If they just shrugged and reset it, likely something innocuous I'd hope.

Other than something that you can find via google or from a user here for an easy fix, I would then go with the above poster and then take it to another dealer. Perhaps, do both just for your own piece of mind, pep-boys for a read so you know what's going on, then another dealer to check it out. 2 birds 1 road-trip.

Yeah, really can't help without any information. Is the car driving any different? Any mods? etc

Certainly need to know what mods have been done by the previous owner(s). And certainly need to know what the code(s) are. Autozone, PepBoys (as mentioned) and others will pull the code for free. Let us know what it is.

My wild azz guess is that you have an intake leak, a dirty MAF or dirty TB which don't always show themselves with driveability issues. But it could be many minor things including a loose or defective gas cap.

Its a v6 automatic. When the light comes on it drags when you press the gas and acts like it doesn't want to change gears. i just got back from sears and had them clean my throttle body and oil change. I was told there that if cleaning it didn't solve the problem then to check and maybe replace the throttle position sensor?

MODS:
K&N air filter
blacked out headlights, taillights, side lights and front turn signals
tinted windows
7'' touch screen dvd/cd player
2600 watt power akustic amp
2 12'' kicker svr comp subs

K&N Air filter? Do you mean a drop-in or a CAI? Either way, put the stock paper filter (if drop-in) or stock airbox (if CAI) back on and let's go from there.

Replace the tps it's cheap and will cause more problems if you don't. Mine was doing the same thing and that's all I had to replace and has ran great for 40k miles now
