Going strait or on a road coarse.

Now, how about an Ecoboost version of the 5.0 liter!?!?!? That would be absolutely crazy!

Now those are both interesting applications but, don't retain the pony/muscle car characteristics. Those applications would make a nice SVT project.

Diabolical....what's your issue with Jeremy Clarkson?? He's da man in the UK!!

I'm not in the UK. I've watched him test drive a V6, complain about the hp and handling and claim it was a GT. I've heard him claim that a GT500 is a 4.6 liter GT with a supercharger strapped to it. I've heard him claim that a Roush S197 comes stock with IRS. I've seen several episodes where he reviews the S197, mercilessly bashes it while calling all Americans fat and lazy, all the while getting all of the facts wrong. I guess you could say I'm a little butt-hurt about it, lol, but honestly, if he gets that much info wrong about ONE car, I'm sure I'm not learning anything valuable from him when he reviews other cars. Top Gear is entertainment, but you'll never learn anything of value watching it.

I can appreciate Clarkson's humor but he's not near as smart as some people like to think he is.

Ok now I understand.....It's European TV and yea he does bash most American cars but, Europeans focus more on handling/build quality/technology and engine performance to match the other characteristics. American cars tend to be lots of straight line HP without much else. When watching T.G. UK were watching European way of thinking which at times conflicts with American view points. No big deal to me....I enjoy their entertainment style.
I also noticed that they are not fond of the mustang. There is commercialism at play. Jeremy once despised the Vette....now loves the Vette and highly endorses it. As with everything in the end it's a paycheck. I look past the BS and enjoy their witty humor.

An AWD mustang is no longer a mustang. And you think Mustangs are heavy now? Good god, that would be damn near 5k pounds.

Unless they shaved a few inches off of it, redesigned the exterior to be less bulky, turned it into a 2 seater, gave it smaller wheels/tires, a lighter 1.6l 4 cyl engine, and sold it as a Toyota.

This is a pony car.... No V6 ecoboost.... A V8 has to be top engine, i love smaller turbo motors just not in a mustang, cmax with 1.6 turbo... Cool

We will be crossing our fingers for good luck every time we drive aggressively.
The only thing I can think of is you had some horrible tuners. I can't speak for EVO's in particular, but saying the STi and Supra lack in durability is just really confounding to me. The Supra in particular has one of the most over-built bottom ends of any production car to date..RX7's are only unreliable if you (as I mentioned above) have a really horrible tuner.

As such, the very high speed moving part will definitely not last the decades a naturally aspirated engine will.
I'm not sure where you've been getting your information, but most turbochargers spin more in the realm of 90-140k RPM.

Where are all the turbo cars from the 80s, 90s and 00s......? Junk yards (lot's of terrible tuners) and a few low mile unmodified examples driving around town during the summer. The V8s are everywhere/everyday. Look around!
