Default Rear suspension squeak

I am now recently getting a squeak over bumps coming from the rear of my car. I originally thought it was just dirt and salt, but I cleaned everything the other day with the hose, and its still occurring. Any guesses on what it could be? Would the dealer be able to fix it?

A VERY common issue. I have the same thing on my 2009 GT. I recall another thread about this describing some sort of lubrication for brushing in the suspension. Too late to search for it now, but I think I have it as a favorite on my laptop. Will try and post it tomorrow if noone else jumps in...

Yep, I too would blame it on the bushings.
If you can, lift it up, crawl under neath, and seek out where the squeaks are coming from. If it is a bushing and it is going bad (cracking from being dry or whatever), replace it. I think the salts and the wet, and the salts again, etc. could promote early hardening of the bushing material, at least on the surfaces that are exposed to getting wet and getting salt on them. If you can put up with the noise, they should still work since the vast majority of the bushing material is still good.

If the squeak is from something else, maybe the bearings on your panhard bar, your anti-sway bar, on your suspension control arms, maybe your shocks, etc, possible cleaning them properly, and lubing them will fix the squeak.

aren't you recently lowered? i forget so maybe not. anyway, my car would squeak on and off from the rear for the first thousand miles and once everything settled in it stopped.

I will crawl under the car tomorrow and check the bushings, if its not that I will try spraying all bearings etc. with zep 45 and trying to find another cause.

And no shane I am not lowered yet, but might consider not due to the roads in my area.

You're going to get that noise in these NY winters. It's normal, regardless if you have stock junker control arms and shocks or aftermarket.

My first guess would be the rear stabilizer bar bushings, since the bar has to rotate in them whenever you hit a bump. There are four, one on each "hanger" and one down under each axle end.

Assuming it is the stabilizer bar bushings, what would you use to lube them and is there something that can be sprayed rather than disassembling everything?
