Default S197 Leather seats - comfortable? How much?

Hey all,
Im looking to replace, or redo my front seats. After 16 years of use they are in need of some TLC. I found a pair of leather seats out of an 05 or 06 (sorry dont remember) and the guy wants $400 for them. Is that a good price? And are they comfortable? I dont want to spend the money then find out the suck to sit in for long car drivers....also side note: Anyone know if they fit in the old SN95's???

Thanks,
Matthew

No clue on fitment but my cloth seats are plenty comfortable and the leather is the same foam. $400 isnt bad at all seeing as just the leather take offs used to be 300

The leather seats are very comfortable, I would definitely pull the trigger on that deal.

yeah my '08 has leather seats and I think they are real comfortable....but the previous cars ive hard is a jeep grand cherokee and dodge neon. $400 sounds like a good deal but it also depends on what shape the seats are in of course.

I LOVE my '11 leather seats in my '05, much more so than the cloth I previously had. Seems like the going rate is about $300-$500 for a set of takeoffs. As far as fitment, I doubt they'd fit in a '95, so you'd need to do some modifications. Might be a good idea to talk to an upholstery shop

What about a set out of a New Edge? Might be a better fit

Leather seats are great though I'm not sure if they will fit in your model.

I've taken long trips in my Stang with the leather TRIM seats. In hot weather, they suck. I'm used to cloth seats and I'd take cloth over leather TRIM seats any day.

after 20k miles I still think my '08 leather seats are a little stiff. I love the leather, but I sometimes wonder if the soy-based foam that Ford switched to in '08 is stiffer than the petroleum based foam of earlier models.

The leather in my 10 is more comfortable than the leather I had in my 06, but the 06's were far more comfortable then the leather buckets in my 01 explorer!!
