Default Cold Air Intake Help!? What's best for HP???

I have an 05 v6, Just Wondering what would be the best brand of CAI for most HP? weather or not it requires a tune, doesn't matter.

I plan on getting it tuned anyway, I just don't really want to have to spend the extra on a tuner for my self.

I would appreciate any feed back. Thanks

The standalone CAI isin't going to do much for you. For the most HP gains you're going to want to go with a tune required CAI. You could always just get the tuner first. Remember these words, it's all in the tune.

Don't bother getting a CAI before a tune since you'll need a no-tune-required CAI (maybe 3-5 RWHP) to keep from throwing a code for running lean and those types of CAI's are a bit inferior with respect to tune-required CAI's. That being said, the CAI provides a small % of the power adder to the CAI & tune combo (about 20-25 RWHP). Be more concerned about who writes your tunes, NOT what CAI to get.

Thanks for the input helped a lot! I'll defiantly look more into the tune than so much the intake itself.

yep, all the Tune required CAIs pretty much will give you the same HP gains but the Tune is where its at. I know alot of people on here use Bama or brenspeed for their tunes.

Personally I have the JLT CAI with Bama tunes on mine and its amazing.
