I thought I'd ask for people to post up the most impressive rides they've come up against over their ownership of their mustang.

Reason I got inspired to post this was that today I was just cruising over to pick up some shirts and ties when a Mercedes C63 AMG pulled up next to me, we were both turning left and at first I was just admiring his car..also knew he had way more under the hood than I did so I wasn't about to start anything. He flew off the line and scooted around the turn damn fast and jetted off, I didn't move slow but then when I saw him really hauling I wanted to play along but knew my tires wouldn't hook up if I dropped it anyway since it had just rained.

In any case I'm sure he could've taken me regardless but it was just awesome to see a C63 even wanting to toy with a GT.

What are some of your best stories?

A 2010 mazda MX-5 challenged me. Man - those things are fast! beat me (2011 GT 6-speed) by quite a bit...

2 newer Porsche Boxters. I lost but it still was fun (this was back when my car was stock)

95' Tbird with a New Edge 4.6L motor and CAI, 3300 stall, J-modded and exhaust dumps. Took em by 3ish lengths

Turbo Supra on the highway... yeah lol

98 GT with full bolt ons, 4.10s etc and a 150 shot but ran it N/A

Stock S197 V6 when I just had a CAI/****ty tune. Got em by a good bit

Played cat and mouse with a turbo newer Passat on the highway

This all happened in Mexico btw

Probably my boyfriend's SS/TC Cobalt. Not stock, and very fast.
It was a pretty fun race until we got well into 2nd then he left me like I was sitting still.
I just think that was a cool one, because most people wouldn't look at his car and think it was fast.

Porsche Carrera GT. First time I saw one happened to be when he pulled up next to me at a light. he revved at me and I revved back. He did say he liked the sound of my GT. Once the light turned, I really enjoyed the sound of that thing taking off......

on my drive back from brenspeed to florida i had:

a newer M3 want a go at it. at my GF's protest... i put him in his place

a civic with mugen badges badgering me in Atlanta.... it was rush hour so i kept it in 5th and just closed the gap so he would get stuck in slower traffic... 5 min later the flyby commenced. i loled.

I did ok against my friend's new DTS the other day. That is pretty sad, isn't it? I've raced and won against 2 Cobalts (non-ss). Also a 2004 Cadillac CTS. I got beat by an 84(?) corvette the other day but not by as much as I expected. Me and a 2008 Malibu LTZ stayed pretty even. I have also raced an Impala LTZ and it was pretty slow.

How sad is it that I have to race all of the family cars to win at all? Lol.

We have a pontiac sunfire around here that runs 12s...only raced him at the track though and well, i lost...

I did beat 2 SRT-10 Rams that night though And an STi and an EVO
