SO how many of you are NEVER selling your Mustangs?

I've never, ever worried about "resale value" or even bought a car with any particular plan to sell it after X years, Y miles, or in preparation for the newest "latest and greatest whatever".
Going into each car purchase, as long as I felt that the car was going to fun enough that I'd want to still keep it a year after the final payment was mailed out, that was good enough.
Been right so far. In fact, I still own more than 2/3 of the cars I've bought since 1971 when I could finally afford to buy new. Details in sig. The two that I no longer have weren't running when I did get rid of them. Even though the Mustang and the Subie are both paid for, there are no thoughts about selling either of them.
Turning 50 was so 1990's . . . hopefully you'll discover that 'old' is an attitude and an outlook that you have some control over, not just a number, AARP membership, and a rocking chair.

But yeah, I'm not really worried about this being a "collectible" either. They make thousands of GT's every year. I just meant if people were going to keep it for themselves forever to drive.

I special ordered mine and knew at the time it would be a life long keeper. I have every piece of documentation I could get my hands on. It's garaged, 740 miles, and even though it's a V6, it's exactly what I wanted. I have no regrets after 4.5 years with what I purchased.

i plan on keeping mine. it was the 1st car i earned myself and its my baby. hopefully next year when i graduate ill be able to buy a beater so i dont have to keep driving it around to places where it will be keyed or hit (both of which have happened in the past 3 months)

Hahah I just turned 25, so 50 is old to me. Hahaha. Don't take offense to that if you are over 50. I had a mini- pre mid life crisis at 25 already> Hence why I bought this lol.

You will realize just how fast time flew by between 20-35 and 50 will be like imagining it being just a birthday away.
I kid you not... the transition from young adult to middle aged adult goes by so fast it's not EVEN funny.

So you only drive it 164 miles a year? Why? I mean I understand wanting to keep it nice but that seems almost like you dont ever get to enjoy it. And I do understand keeping it nice, my 06 GT is a weekend nice weather cruiser but I still put on 3 to 5k a year on it. Just curious is all. :-)
