My lightly modded 07 GT will put lengths on a 2012 V6 with the same mods. The V6 is fast(ish) and will hang with my car up to 100 but above that...it just doesn't have the torque to keep up.

V6 with xcharger won't hang with the 5.0. period. dot. dot

Sorry. Not trying to talk smack. Just reflecting on the environment withing my pony and I live. TBH tho, Im ok with racing to the limit from a light or whatever. But ive had speeding beaten out of me. Bein one of the best to 60 is enough for me. Theres not even a quarter mile strip within a 2 hour drive of my house

Ill stay 250 pounds lighter and with the Koni Yellows and Steeda Sports or Comps im planning on ordering and eat you in the windys
Low end should be a lot of fun..and the sound from the x-charger is the definition of sweet.

But don't kid yourself. There will be no eating of any 2011+ in the twisties. These are the best handling mustangs ford has ever built. If you meet a Brembo GT on those hills, you will understand.

A 5.0 I don't know about but you wouldn't sniff me in the windy's, even with some Koni Yellows, all in good fun.

Don't worry we know you are just curious what would be faster.

The new 5.0s are just mean though and the V6 would be like, "WTF was that?!" lol

I vote for you to get a new 5.0. WIN!

And truth be told. A new 5.0 isnt really an option for me. I am rather attatched to my lil pony and she was a gift from my dad for graduating with a 4.0. So ill work on her with every dime I can scrape up but I dont think Ill ever sell her

Absolutely, nothing wrong with being proud of your car, there are some pretty sick V6's on this site that I'm sure have broken some hearts of cars that thought they were going to toast them.

ward spratlin has a 4.0 with a powerhouse turbo... 400 HP... There was another 4.0 guy running a 75 shot of nitrous on the same turbo getting 530... It can be done.

Buttt ive never felt a need to go turbo. Or risk blowing the motor with insane PSIs. From what ive heard the X is a hugely reliable blower
