Sure. I really need to stop doing this after the sun goes down... I hate daylight savings... First adjustment... need to drive it a couple days and then perhaps another drop in idle (usually takes about 3 days before a new tune settles down)...

Mmmmmmmmmmmm
I want that sound. Ugh I'm this close to blowing 1400 on my car.
Good news I can get a friend to help me install them if I do.

What exhaust setup you using? Stock?

Lol. I wish. A "rough idle" will make you fail an inspection. I have a thread in the GT general discussion about my California woes.

Once again glad I'm in ky. No emissions test. No inspections. Buy the tag and your good for a year
Also mandatory overtime 4 Saturdays the next 2 months. This may force me to join up

Well it seems that the general consensus is to just have an "emissions" tune that idles high enough to disguise the rough idle. The testing technician would have to be a moron for this to work though I would think. I'm going to talk to RET down here in SoCal about it and see how many customers they have that are running cams/long tubes.

Is there a better price anywhere to rent the tools to do the swap? Only one I've found is freedom racing for 170 bucks.
Anyone around here have some they rent out cheaper/tricks to not need them

Bump the idle up to 950 or so and it won't be rough for passing inspections. I'm pretty happy with the 675rpm, but will probably try and go lower just to see influence.

Installation isn't bad. I rented from Freedom Racing.. it's $100 plus shipping, not $170... (you buy the set for $270 and they refund $170 minus $8 or so for shipping)...

Score the cams from American Muscle with your MF discount, it's like $680 and the phaser bolts are $30ish... valve cover gaskets are $40.. total is $850ish w/o a tune (assuming you've got AM's tunes for life). You simply can't beat AM deals. Period. Their customer service is also next to none.

My reading comprehension was bad due to late at night when I read it.
Yea 100 sounds much better.
Local auto parts place would have the gaskets correct?

Felpro was pretty much the same price as from the Ford. I went with dealer valve cover gaskets.
