Default Holster ideas for my mustang

I have a concealed carry permit and I've been trying to figure out the best way to mount a pistol holster in my mustang. I'm thinking the center compartment is the easiest spot to conceal it and still get it easily. Has anyone mounted a holster in their cars, or seen something that would work?

Have you actually used that one? Does it get in the way at all having it between your legs?

I have a Bianchi UM-92 holster with a Glock 17 held in the passenger seat back map pocket of my 1999 CR-V. It's mounted with the flap off. It's awesome. The pistol is at the same spot every time. I've only removed it once in fear of danger and it sure was nice not fumbling around.

FWIW, pick a caliber you can shoot well one handed and with your off hand. I learned this in IPSIC. To much power can be a disadvantage.

I didn't think about the passenger seat map pouch, I may have to look into that. I kind of want it concealed a little more in case I leave it in there while I go in somewhere. I've been shooting for years, my gun that I conceal is a S&W M&P .45 compact. I would have loved a 1911, but the full size is too hard to conceal and its too expensive. I may just mount something I can attach my inside the waist band holster too.

With a little ingenuity and time invested (and money) you could do a setup similar to James Bond's aston... (go to 0:45)

Go to about 45 seconds into that, and the gun comes out of the dash, you could turn glove box into something similar with some craftsmanship =D

Just an idea, had to throw it out there =D
