I am getting ready to write a post here about my change over from the roush m90 to a paxton novi 2200. One of the big things different is the MPG. the roush m90 with the 8 psi pulley only got about 16 to 17, but the paxton is getting about 19 to 20 and the paxton made more power.
Better than I expected! On the interstate about 21 mpg and when only driving to work and back (abt 8 mi) and around town about 18 mpg. I don't baby it but not all out all the time either!
It seems like once you get into boost, that your MPG doesn't necesarily get 'better', but you are able to squeeze a lot more power with only slightly more fuel.
Once you're in the boost, your car is dumping fuel into those cylinders like a full blast garden hose.
Best I get is near 19 on the highway at 75 avg. speed over a long trip. Mostly it's closer to around 15-16 overall, and that's using the mileage since last fill / gallons used to fill up.
I'm about 14 maybe 15 all city style driving with lots of throttle stabs off the line and second gear chirps. Mustang is a freaking Hybrid compared to my vipertruck, it averages 9. LOL
I've been watching it and about 18.4 mixed driving with occasional foot stomps. One day out of curiousity, i set cruise at the speed limit religiously and the route to work is uphill most of the way...I got 28!!
But I didnt buy an SC to drive like a wuss so that was a one time thing.

wow, how much boost with your 2200? Can you link to your post here or PM ... pros/cons of each of driving. I know that the centrifugal 2200 hits boost a bit later (full around 3-3.5k) but runs cooler than roots style, and is not even audible at WOT ....depends if you want 'sleeper' or not

yes and the power becomes addicting... easy to drink gas.
It sure wouldn't be difficult or me to get 12mpg. But hell even the turbo 4 bangers like 2012 Evo gets 17/23 when the new 5.0 gets 17/26 ... you pay for power.
