60' times. What's yours and how did you achieve it?

A little squat is OK, but a lot means your power isn't propelling you forward as well as it could be. You can try just a drag bag in the right spring and just air it up when you go to the track, but stiffer springs and shocks are your best bet. I ended up using all 3 in my quest to improve 60' times. Good luck.

2.55 60 foot , stock car, stock tires, launch on the street lol and timed by my ipod touch (dynolicious is actually very accurate)
1/4 mile ended up being 13.5@109.6
this is a stock 2011 gt 6 speed, i want to get the 12's but launching on the street with p zero nero tires just doesnt work. This was my 2nd run and i wasnt shifting that hard. I had the car for only about 1 day and i think theres alot of room for improvement, i want to trap over 110 mabe 112 if the conditions are right and i shift well etc .
Pretty sure the track would help my 60 foot get to like 2.0, if i want to do any better than that though ill need new tires

I have the RXT and I think it helped a lot. I used to slip the clutch of the line, now I just dump it and it pulls me right out the hole without spinning or bogging. I think my tires also have a lot to do with it. I launch at about 4k rpm (no 2 step) and my rear axle is stock 3:55. Just out of curiosity, what are your d-specs set at for the track?
I have to pull my tranny out this week so depending on what my plates look like I may go to an RXT.

My technique has become very simple since I switched to the McLeod RXT and the Hoosier QTPs. I do a quick spin in the water box and pull forward a few feet. Then I do a second gear burnout just long enough to see smoke start to form. I've found that the tires hook better if I don't do a long smokey burnout. After that, I pull up to the line and hold the RPMs at about 4k. When the lights drop, I dump the clutch. The McLeod RXT is pretty forgiving with this technique because it's a twin disc clutch, so I don't feel the need to slip it off the line. I used to run a single disc SPEC (a brand which I will never go back to), and I had to slip it off the line to keep from bogging. I also used to run drag radials and they were much more likely to spin off of the line if my launch wasn't absolutely perfect. Bias ply tires are much more forgiving, but if you're not used to them, they can be nerve racking at high speeds.
