Default The Steeda Sport/Drag Pak sees 10’s in the NMRA Spring Break Shootout

Hello Guys and Gals,

I just wanted to pass along some impressive information that I recieved from one of our members here at Steeda. Our Steeda car dialed in a 10.89, broke out with a 10.88. We did this with the Nitto 555R, not the grippier NT05R!

We ran the car in true street. Our previous best at SGMP last April was a 11.002 @ 126.85mph with a 1.64 short on Nitto's. Car has a Steeda CAI, Tune, Boss intake and 125 shot. Still 100% stock exhaust on the car, can't even hear it. Since then we have added Steeda axle back and Steeda adjustable 3rd link. We tweaked the suspension to give us a drag radial friendly -2.6 pinion angle with the adjustable 3rd link. This definitely helped plant the rear 555 Nitto drag radials.

On Sunday the green light dropped and the Nitto’s responded with a best ever 1.57 short time, 7.008 in the 1/8 and when the score board lit up it read 10.88 @ 126.56mph! The Steeda actually crossed the line coasting as it had reached the 7600 rev limiter 5-10 ft short of the finish line. It had never come close to reaching the limiter before so it was quite a shock, but the driver knew the mph had to be there for a 10 second slip.

All and all it was successful, we had a goal of 10’s and we got it! Here is the mods on the car…

Steeda Sport
- Steeda Boss Cold Air intake
- Steeda Mail order Tune
- Boss intake
- Steeda Axle back
- Steeda adjustable ride height kit in the front w/ 162lb springs
- Steeda ultra lite springs in the rear
- Steeda Billet lower control arms
- Steeda Adjustable 3rd link
- Steeda Anti Roll Bar
- Steeda Radiator support
- Steeda Tri Ax Shifter
- Steeda Shifter Bracket
- Steeda Strut tower brace
- Steeda Bump Steer kit
- Steeda X-11 ball joints
- Race Star Wheels, 15x10 out back and 17x4.5 up front
- Nitto 275/60/15 555R drag radials
- Nitrous Express 125hp Nitrous kit (makes 99hp to the tires) w/ Steeda custom N2O SCT tune
- Steeda Cowl Hood
- Steeda Race Wing

In this form the car made 525hp to the tires. It made 426 on Motor and the NX kit added 99 hp to the wheels.

The Steeda suspension and Nitto tires were the biggest help in achieving this goal. There are not many “horse power mods” on that list. We are doing more, with a lot less. We have competitors making over 900 rwhp and they can’t get their car into the 10’s or 950 rwhp and going mid 9’s through automatics.

Our car also features no weight reduction except for the Steeda front radiator support.

This is the Steeda difference, getting more with less! We can take your car to the next level as well, we are only a phone call away at 1-800-950-0774.

Thanks for the read.

The car looked great and Scott did a great job behind the wheel! Let me know if you don't have any good pics of it at BMP, because I think I snapped some good ones.
