Stay away from "FORD OF CLERMONT"

Sorry, but you've pretty much got zero standing on this. If a customer (or someone else authorized by the customer) picks up a car and does NOT identify damage supposedly caused by the dealer until AFTER the vehicle is gone, there is NO way you can prove they did it, nor any way they can prove YOU didi it. If dealers had to fix everything that a customer CLAIMED that the dealer did (but customer didn't notice until they were long gone), then everybody would just blame the dealer for everything.
You have a responsibilty to inspect your vehice before and after any service. Cosmetic damage such as this should be noted on any paperwork/work order that you have to sign. Like it or not, NOT doing so releases them of liability for damage you missed.
Neither you nor the dealer saw what happened to the car between you relative picking it up and you finally seeing it. Therefore, without evidence that the car was damaged while in thier possession, you can't prove negligence on thier part. Sorry, but them's the facts.

It always sucks to learn a lesson the hard way. You must always look at the vehicle before taking back possesion. As other people have stated, so many people try to scam dealerships. My wife works for one and tells me stories all the time of people trying to do this. You name it, they try it. The one that happens a lot is when the customer brings their car in filthy dirty, then wants the free car wash only later to discover scratches that were hidden by the dirt. Then the whole you scratched my car starts. I am not doubting you're car was damaged there, but you have to look at the other side and realize why dealerships act the way they do. It is a business and like every other business they do not want to lose money. I feel for you as something similar happened to me.
