Got my first new stang! Very happy, but looking to change the muffler. I have narrowed it down to either the Flowmaster American Thunder or the Borla Stinger S-Type. Comments on either one. Who has them/hear them.

I do like Flowmasters, but the stingers are downright nasty. +1 vote for the stingers.

Nothing sounds better than the borlas. With these cars you truly get what you pay for and scrimping to cut corners will just leave you disappointed

A lot of ppl can tell you "Oh this exhaust, is better than this one" etc. because they all have something different. It depends on what you want. Flowmasters in my opinion only sound good on H pipes and they produce some drone. I had Flowmasters on before i got cams installed. At the same time I had cams installed I swapped my Flowmasters with Corsa Xtremes and Corsa Xpipe and honestly could not be happier. In my opinion no exhaust beats Corsa, but it might just be me. Between Flowmaster, and Borla I'd say go Borla. Borla is better known in my opinion for more than just mustangs. It seems as though Borla is often used with sports cars, and they sound deeper. I have not heard the stingers in person, but Im not a fan of Flowmasters. Also in a general sense I find Borla better than Flowmaster as a company. Flowmasters produce too much of a hollow can sound to me.

Awesome, thanks for all the response. Looking foward to more. Only thing done to my stang right now it the K&N air filter to replace the stock. I know not much.

I second this but glad nobody ever listens. Keeps my car turning more heads when it drives by.
