That's why I got rid of mine and had my stockers retrofitted. Even with 4300k HIDs the Raxioms didn't put out enough light for me. The review section on AM (and here) mentions this a bit.

Will these burn up the wiring or anything? I'm hoping these will help the lighting problem

Let me us know how that goes, I want to get the split level projector halos but I hear the lights are moot.

You can get these haols non smoked fyi. I have the smoked ones as well and visibility sucks. But, I have fog lights so, together, its actually brighter than my old car was with stock lights. Switching to brights however, well, might as well just turn the headlights off. Once those fogs go off, its over.

No. The headlight wiring is plug/play so you'll be fine. The worry some folks had is if the HID bulbs would melt the housing (bulb too far in/heat). Answer to that is no they won't...at least with a 35watt kit. I ran them for about 3 months with no issues. Some guys have been running them for 6+ months.

Those NewEgg ballasts are pretty fat by today's standards. This is what I'm running:

I recommend going with slim ballasts (from DD or wherever). Takes up less space. One year warranty & limited lifetime warranty (ballasts/wiring) on DD kits. Worth it IMO for slim ballasts.

I tried that route as well. The clear lens version I bought had scuffed up projectors (on the inside) that was visible. I returned them (twice). I trust AM and Raxiom more than other brands.

I went Retrofit a couple months ago and won't be going back to Raxioms.

The 6000k HID bought for $40 on NewEgg.com are awesome. They made these crappy projectors actually light up the road! also the ballast is very small and not bulky at all and was very easy to install and convinced me about keeping these lights because the road is now actually lit!
