Raxiom Headlights Install (Finished!!)
#21
Only complaint I have about these is the ability to see at night. It absolutely blows. It's like driving with no lights on, I've adjusted them a couple times now and it still sucks... I mean it'll light up signs but the road is barely lit.... I'm going to try to buy the hids for them and see what that does

Will these burn up the wiring or anything? I'm hoping these will help the lighting problem

You can get these haols non smoked fyi. I have the smoked ones as well and visibility sucks. But, I have fog lights so, together, its actually brighter than my old car was with stock lights. Switching to brights however, well, might as well just turn the headlights off. Once those fogs go off, its over.

Those NewEgg ballasts are pretty fat by today's standards. This is what I'm running:

I recommend going with slim ballasts (from DD or wherever). Takes up less space. One year warranty & limited lifetime warranty (ballasts/wiring) on DD kits. Worth it IMO for slim ballasts.

I went Retrofit a couple months ago and won't be going back to Raxioms.

I have fogs, and i broke my bulbs that came with the headlight housing yesterday (closed hood on them while they were laying on radiator cover...FML) so right now there will be no night time driving haha but im waiting for these new HIDs to come in and ill see if i want to return these headlights or not

The 6000k HID bought for $40 on NewEgg.com are awesome. They made these crappy projectors actually light up the road! also the ballast is very small and not bulky at all and was very easy to install and convinced me about keeping these lights because the road is now actually lit!
