Pioneer AVIC-X940BT?
Anyone have one or know if it is a good unit?
I had the 3300BT and added a Nav unit in it but this new unit is running at only 800 bucks with the nav included already.
If it is anything like the 3300 I know I would love it.
Any words?
P.S.
I don't want a unit where the face comes up and moves or anything.
I like the CD slot right there with no fancy movements or opening to get to it.

I have the Pioneer AVIC-X930BT, which is the previous year's model. I absolutely love it! Navigation works great and it is very easy and straightforward to use. I don't have any complaints with my unit so far. Something new with the 940BT is that it is compatible with both iPhone and Android phones, where as the 930BT is just iPhone compatible. The AVIC line has great reviews, and from my experience, I can tell you that you won't regret your choice if you decide to go with that one.

It will work, but you will need the 2005-2009 specific install kit. I would recommend either working with a competent install shop or if you or someone you trust plans on doing the install to go to crutchfield and order the unit from them and they will provide master install plans and most adapters (if not all) you will need for a successful install as well as be a source for the install kit.
Good luck and welcome to the board.

I have the AVH-P8400BH coming from the X930BT and the newer Pioneer menu setups are great. Really fast interface and the best phone sound quality on the market.
I returned the 930 when I saw they were discontinuing it and planned on getting the newer 940BT. I also need GPS on occasion but I just hung my cellphone between the 2 dashboard vents and I use Google maps. Google updates every time you use it, has up to the minute traffic and weather and it's included on my service.
I guess the best new feature is the Android support. Nice to be able to use Pandora, Iheart and other apps streaming.
