Default Missing 2nd to 3rd Power Shifting...again..and again...and again

and again and again and again

Wooo got it the last time and went 12.18@115 with power shifting every gear but third.

This brings me to my point. Iv seen things about shims being put in and k members and other stuff to help with this issue. Anyone have any PROVEN facts to helping the awful 2nd to 3rd in these cars?

Im def considering a short throw but trying to pick one is seemingly a task and I may jus go with the cheapest one with the better reviews or the Barton.

Any input appriciated!

I'm ordering an MGW shortly. Their claim to fame is their 2nd to 3rd, at least with the 05-10's, so it'd be worth looking into. Have heard nothing but good things about the shifters for the MT-82's also. Really, short shifter brand isn't even a choice for me haha. Plus I want their rally shift ****!

Nice run btw!

How's your technique? Are you gripping the shifter or using an open palm?

You should not be using your thumb at all. I don't power shift, but this helped me to hit 3rd every time.

Check out the Steeda Tri-Ax, "Steeda's Tri-Ax for the S197 has a tensioned internal spring so you'll never miss 3rd gear again", Steeda.

Billet Hurst & "T" handle = Teh win! In reality.. my 2nd gear syncro is toast.. this shifter really don't care.. it's only 2" total movement between shifts... it's a thing of beauty...
