I'm all for being different (I have black wheels) , but the off-center stripe thing is not working for me.

If you do stripes I would go symetric.

NOT digging that look.

Those stripes do NOT flow well with the car.
I have seen one in town that has the same stripe.

That kind of single stripe on the side is actually usually done
on imports to add to it.

Also remember it's good to be unique but stripes are a simple thing, and it's easy to go TOO much.
If you want unique try something simple like doing a different size pin stripe to flow along the single or double
stripes in the center. Or try a gap that looks a bit different.
That striping just does NOT say Mustang at ALL to me.
It just does not match the car, not in the lines, the flow, or the style.

I'm not trying to be harsh. But I do want to tell the truth.
I'm not trying to offend anyone either.
But those stripes just remind me of some young ricer that decided to buy a Mustang for some reason.

As much as I love the standard styles I see on Mustangs and appreciate why they are the standard styles, I like to be different.

What do you think of this one (I mocked it up using Blue 3M painter's tape lol)

Right now it's just on the hood, the idea is that it would be bumper to bumper...or maybe from the hood to the rear bumper inclusive. I think the spacing between the stripes needs to be closed up a bit more.

Thanks all for your opinions.
It doesn't look bad, and not like anyone else has on their Mustang.

The original purpose of that type of "racing stripe" was so that the rescue crew would know which side the driver was on if there was an accident during a race. With different cars having right hand/left hand drive on the circuit in Europe they needed an easy way to quickly get to the driver in an accident on the course.

So this one is saying that the car is a right hand drive.

I'm not big on it. It works against the styling lines of the hood so it's kinda awkward...IMO.

Thank you everybody for the opinions. I didn't think it would be so hit or miss.

I do actually like it more on the driver's side than the passenger's side. As far as the lines go, I was also noticing how the lines on the hood aren't straight so the stripes look awkward at some angles.

I appreciate everybody's input and opinion, like or dislike. I'm on the fence, I'm not sure if I want to be different and do this (A bit out there, but doesn't look horrible), or do a matte black super stripe(classy but common). All I know is that I don't want the standard lemans stripe.

I know that The Kia Soul rocks this stripe but I figure it's balanced out cause the Manaro Bathurst edition rocks a similar one lol.

Like I said, I'm still on the fence so keep the opinions/suggestions/hate/love coming. If somebody has any different ideas out there as well I'd love to see em.

I've got two years to build up the car before babies start happening lol

(don't worry, I've got other things on my build list like an xcharger/xcharger extreme)

So she has already told you LOL
Since you are under that time constraint I would not even do stripes...Supercharger.

yep.. with that information, you are doing this all wrong... supercharger and forged engine... 1 piece Driveshaft, CAI, GT500 fuel pumps, headers... then you got the really expensive **** out of the way and can finagle the small stuff.

The Stripes are definitely not something in the near future. It's a finishing touch. I just like to plan my mods
