Default TCI Streetfighter Ratchet Shifter question

Does anyone have one of these in their setup? How do you like it and have you had any problems with it? I have been looking into it found some videos but you never really know till you ask someone that has one.

About the only thing I did not like on the interior of my 08 was the shifter...in a word, it was just fugly! Because of a lack of selection, i went with the tci as one of my first mod's and I haven't regretted it at all.
Overpriced...you bet, but it is well made in its defense. Much better than that plastic POS ford stuck us with, thats for sure.
I cannot overstate my next statement...THIS IS NOT A PERFORMANCE MOD, you simply cannot out-shift the computer.
The only negative feedback I have ever heard has been from people not wanting to spend the $$ with no increase in performance, but again that is not its purpose.
Must have IMO with any a/t...pic for ya!

Gotta agree with Mayo. The stocker is such a POS I almost didnt buy the car because it looked like such a piece of garbage. My GF's Honda Accord shifter looks like a Bentley model compared to Fords shifter.

It offers no performance but the looks alone make it worth the cost. I was able to find mine used but it had never been installed so I managed to save a few bucks. If you dont want to fork over the full price check the classifieds on all the mustang sites and you will eventually find one. It installs very simply to. There is a video on youtube you can watch on how to do it.

Good luck with the install. Hardest part for me was removing the clip for the shifter cable.

Your gonna love it. Yeah be careful with the shifter cable linkage. Its takes some good pressure to unclick it but you wont to be careful not to break it. There is a youtube video on doing the install. Check it out for sure.

Scott..........your all gauged up there! Nice setup dude.

Yea, that clip is a pita to remove. I went ahead and ordered a replacement for the install, just in case I broke the original...which I did.lol

Scott's ride is a beast...one of my favorites on the MF.
Interior looks good bro!
