Pitiful when all in the world the previous owner had to do was flash it back to stock. He could have even sold it. Now he has a piece of junk in his hands with the old device. Why in the world do people not think?

Really? Don't we deal with phuking brain eating zombies on a daily basis? I certainly do... (and on occasion, I'm one of them...)

In my small part of the world if something ate brains, it would have been extinct by now. Yes, dumb a$$ gets to us all. It just seems that with a lot of them it is SOP. It is like the OP of this post. Now they are going to get all wrapped up in straighening out some one's "lack of best judgement and reasoning". I am a pipe fitter / pipe welder with aslo a back ground as a heavy mill wright. I SHOULD be the dumbest one in the room a lot of times. Meeting, forums, ect. When I can see stuff from people below me, at my level , and above and I have to start asking questions as to how in the world is this going to work, because ( you fill in the blank ), I feel like running the white flag up the pole. Random, sorry. Been a long 6-8 months with dealing with stuff like this. OP I apologize for hijacking your thread.

It is frustrating to me, not knowing if the car was tuned or not.

Which is why I am looking at the tuners now.

How are the custom tunes from American Muscle?

AM and Brenspeed are 2 of the premier custom tuners for our S197's. You can't go wrong with either. Both have superb customer service.

Well, I guess I will just go with the basic SCT tuner! It is hard I am really driven to the geek factor of the iTSX. But with some of the comments about it bricking computers and really only a geek bonus I just can see spending 100 dollars more.

Hey Rogan, I'm in the same boat. Bought myself a used 07 with a CAI, but I'm not sure if it has a tune, or if it was flashed back to stock before I bought it. I've decided on the SCT x3 too, so maybe we can help each other if we run into any problems.

I got Brenspeed and put it on today. If I had known it was this different, I wouldn't paid $800 for it and never blinked.

It's like a new car.
