Tuner?
#21
If the PCM was previously tuned, then the OP will likely need to have assistance from whomever is writing his tunes. I believe that they'll need him to read the strategy code with his handheld. It's a bit of a pain but that's the problem with a used, previously tuned vehicle where the previous owner didn't return it to stock or relinquish the handheld.

In my small part of the world if something ate brains, it would have been extinct by now. Yes, dumb a$$ gets to us all. It just seems that with a lot of them it is SOP. It is like the OP of this post. Now they are going to get all wrapped up in straighening out some one's "lack of best judgement and reasoning". I am a pipe fitter / pipe welder with aslo a back ground as a heavy mill wright. I SHOULD be the dumbest one in the room a lot of times. Meeting, forums, ect. When I can see stuff from people below me, at my level , and above and I have to start asking questions as to how in the world is this going to work, because ( you fill in the blank ), I feel like running the white flag up the pole. Random, sorry. Been a long 6-8 months with dealing with stuff like this. OP I apologize for hijacking your thread.

Well, I guess I will just go with the basic SCT tuner! It is hard I am really driven to the geek factor of the iTSX. But with some of the comments about it bricking computers and really only a geek bonus I just can see spending 100 dollars more.

Hey Rogan, I'm in the same boat. Bought myself a used 07 with a CAI, but I'm not sure if it has a tune, or if it was flashed back to stock before I bought it. I've decided on the SCT x3 too, so maybe we can help each other if we run into any problems.
