Well, going to plan B now. I found a 2013 Mustang GT with 5K miles, 6 speed stick, with that sweet royal blue/purple paint with the dark stainless 19" wheels for $27,500 at CarMax. It isn't a Boss but it doesn't cost like a Boss either, but I can mod it to my liking. First mod will be Eibach Sport spring/shock/sway bars/metal end link kit, then a K&N filter. Front plate is coming off as soon as it gets home.

Cool! Definitely a better buy. To be honest unless you're going to track your car right out of the box you're better off with a GT than a Boss.

Really the GT is not to much different, 420 horses compared to 444. You can get all the same suspension as the Boss. Hell you could buy all the parts from American Muscle to turn it into a HI-PO 302 if you really wanted.

I was in your same boat I really wanted the Boss 302 because of well it's name its a Boss 302. But the difference in payments is stupid for a little more horses that I could just bolt on and get it there. Still if I could of afforded it I would of...

Congrats on the new car Mick! That is a sweet looking color, sometimes I miss my Kona Blue GT but only for a second until I get behind the wheel of my Boss!

The Mustang GT is at the Irvine CA CarMax store and is being sent up to the Henderson, NV, on one of their delivery trucks. Should be test driving it next Thursday.

The color is called Deep Impact Blue Metallic.

You still want stronger rods to rev higher. You could literally pull your rods apart with your power level and higher rpms.
