Need help!! possible trade in for a 2013
hello everyone,
i have an 06 mustang Gt, i am looking into trading it in for a 2013 mustang GT. My car has 41,000 miles good condition with mods listed below on the signature. What am i to expect from the Dealership to be offered? Considering that the 2014s are enroute to the dealership now what would be a good dollar amount i should offer the dealer under sticker/over invoice? Should i consider placing my car back to Stock? I know I would get more Private Party but how much more would I get and is it worth it?
I am trying to get into a 2013 GT Premium package with the Track pack, and possibly Recaro seats, but they cant seem to locate one so they suggest I build my own but that would be a 2014 model, which wouldnt include any incentives.
per kbb
Excellent
$17,257
Very Good
$17,007
Good
$16,457
Fair
$15,007
i would place my car in the Good category,

I would try selling it first. Its a real nice looking car and it may push the right persons hot button which means they will pay more. Most dealers will try to low ball you right off the bat anyway and offer you the lowest end of the spectrum. NADA shows your car worth between 11-13k on trade. Dealers use NADA and blackbook for trade values, I've never known of one to go by KBB. Also mods add little to no value to a trade in. If you trade rather than sell it I'd try to sell what you can before trading.
Also I'd go on cars.com and look for your 2013. I don't know where you live or where your dealer was looking but last week I was looking up 2013's and there were tons of them in the south (especially TX)
