Default Leather Seat question

So to start off I have a 2011 GT with leather interior. On my driver side seat about shoulder height (while seated of course) there is a bulge that sticks out on the left side of the seat. It is the airbag module that was replaced by this dealer about a year ago. I took it to said dealer and they said that is how the seat is suppose to be. I asked them if that is how it is suppose to be then why doesn't the passenger side have this bulge? Their response was because the driver seat is used more it is pushing the airbag module out a little bit and thats the spot that rips when the air bag is deployed. This to me sounds like a big fit and finish flaw by Ford if this is a true statement. I do not have a picture of it because the car is at the dealer right now and I will be picking it up tomorrow (Friday) morning. Anyone else have this issue or any input? I am going to take it to another dealer as soon as I get the car just to see if I am having my leg pulled.

Hello Van217,

I recommend you have your dealer compare your vehicle to others on the lot. You can also go to a different Ford Dealer for a second opinion. If you need further assistance, don’t hesitate to PM me.

I am going to take the car into a different dealer just to get a second opinion. There weren't any mustangs on the lot to compare it to so I was kind of stuck. There is a dealer closer to me but they kind of gave me the run around on my last visit so I am really hesitant to go back to them.

It's normal. Don't worry about it. I had it on my stock cloth seats and I have it now with my GT500 take off leathers.
