Default Need new break pads

Hey guys,

I need to replace my break pads. The front left is making a lot of noise all of sudden.

What are a decent brand for our cars? I don't need top of the line, but I don't want the cheapest either. I was thinking getting ceramic, but if those tend to wear more quickly, then I am ok choosing another option.

I don't race the car and it is a v6.

Thanks.

"Brake" Anyway. Hardex Brakes, find 'em on ebay. I put some on my 06 Fusion this year. I absolutely love them. Great stopping power at a low price.

I got a whole Powerstop kit off of Rockauto.com. Front and rear rotors and pads for $176.

The discs aren't slotted or drilled but the braking is feeling nice again.

I have powerslot rotors paired with EBC red stuff pads. Stop awesome and have a little bit more dust than stock. I also have no noise from them. Hawk is a other good brand too.

+1 for Hawk. I'd go with their street pads.

Has anyone else used the Hardex? They are really cheap on ebay; between 1/2 and 1/3 of the price I have seen for pads elsewhere. I am worried about getting something, well, cheap.

Going the cheap route often ends up costing more $$, time and aggravation. Buy a decent/name brand that folks have had luck with and be done. Besides, you're talking about the ability to stop your expensive car. Don't skimp on brakes.
