possibly the worst day of my life :(

My heart is broken and iam banging my head into the wall for being so damn stupid :(

Hydroplaned doing 40MPH on a cold and rainy day, wearing Drag radials . Stupid me took the car out last night, then spend the night over my girlfriends house, woke up sunday and it was raining, i left anyway and this crap happened , I am so broken :(

I linked a video at the end of what happened, i had my dash cam on.

My condolences to you!

sbradle4 12-29-2013 03:08 PM

Sorry man, but at least you are ok, and no one else was involved. "Things" can be replaced, people can not. But I would be heartbroken too. Hopefully insurance will help you get it back to the way it was or a good replacement.

Rudolph Hucker 12-29-2013 03:11 PM

oh crap..as posted above at least your ok..only a car dude..maybe get a 5.0 now aye?

pascal 12-29-2013 03:11 PM

What were you thinking, in the wet with those tires?

Anyway, the car looks worse than it is...
You missed the frame rail and no front suspension damage so the car won't be totaled.
Hope you're OK..
Look on the bright side, time to get a better looking aftermarket hood. :)

Steven Bannoura 12-29-2013 03:16 PM

I appreciate it, it looks fixable , problem is, its not fully covered. I am going to fix it little by little since i own a shop and its just gonna sit in the shop for a while, probably end up with an aftermarket hood :(

tbear853 12-29-2013 03:20 PM

That sucks ..... :(

I watched the video .... sure looks like a fast 40 mph to me .... sorry. Yeah, you feel bad now but when all is said and done, you'll see lots worse days than this.

pascal 12-29-2013 03:22 PM

Structural damage is minimal considering...
You'll need a radiator support and the front apron, not a biggy if you know how to weld.
While you're at it, since you need a bumper, get the GT/CS bumper kit for about $350.
Just a thought...

Video does that. Always appears faster on tape.

I assure you, i wasn't going faster than 40 mph, it even said it on my head unit and that normally reads faster than what you are going. What do you mean by worse days?

yea maybe its time to get some after market hood and bumper. I just need someone to fix the stuff that is bent inside, then i can do the rest myself and get it painted .

Sorry to hear that man. Nobody likes to hear this because they hear it a lot after an accident but it is true: at least you're okay. The car will be fixed and be better than ever.

Sometimes life and God throw you challenges that you need to overcome, so now you get to work!

Glad to hear you're okay!

I appreciate it man, should look better with a new front look. Its just one of those things that could've been avoided, on top of that, the cop issued me some tickets :(

Goldenpony 12-29-2013 03:58 PM

Man, I am so sorry. Just glad you're OK. Looks like she can be fixed. Lesson learned.

Vyacheslav Molotov 12-29-2013 04:35 PM

Dat hydroplane. Wide tires, drag radials, somewhat lightweight car with front weight bias = don't drive in the rain...

Glad you are alright though!

UPRSharad 12-29-2013 04:57 PM

I'm sorry man. I've been there. I know that pain. It still hurts years later. Time to hustle, and come back stronger than ever.

Did you show your vid to the cop?

ThaiCobra 12-29-2013 05:27 PM

If wrecking your car with no injuries is the worst day of your life, then you got nothing to cry about man.

Not trying to be a dick, but you have your life, your health, and a wide world of opportunities. Try to consider the less fortunate in times of self-pity like this.

Sorry about your car sir. It'll be back together in time. Accidents are a regular part of life for everyone, no one is immune.

smokievol 12-29-2013 06:12 PM

Looks like your in Raleigh, it sure was a pouring today.
The police cruizer gives it away.
I have totaled one car before, and I worry about the loss if it happens again.

Hope everything turns out well for you and your stang.
