Maybe they did do something crazy, I was just making a general statement that the car should be more durable.

The way I understand it he did nothing that I haven't done with my 2013 GT(My GT was a new car with 435 dealer miles on it. Put 2,00 miles on it the first 2 weeks I had it and then auto crossed it). He was just giving a friend a ride, not slamming gears or burning tires. Just putting power to it, just like anyone with a 600 HP car would do. If I spent 10's of thousands of dollars extra on a car, I would expect it to do as advertised. From what I hear it is being covered under warranty. Some news on some other details are expected this coming week.

Jesus that's umm interesting to say the least.

I have seen a clutch explode on my buddies car it wasn't fun at all.

The again I have seen a lot of things explode at the drag strip from pistons blowing right out to fuel rail issue and the boom.

Happy hes ok but that's going to seriously hurt if the dealership does not warranty it.

Then again in my opinion the vehicle is brand new it wont have any wear and tear which means that it is a serious issue direct from the manufacturer so it should be warranted.
