Pandard Bar Causing Bad Thrust Angle?
Hello all, been having problems with my Mustang as of late. Jacked it up a little bit in October and gradually getting everything back to spec. When I get going pretty much any speed above 45, I get the shakes pretty bad. I've gotten them bad enough where I've been not taking my car on the freeway for the past couple months.
I had a bent axle and panhard rod, so I swapped them. I put an OEM panhard bar on but somehow the geometry on the rear of my car is slightly off, looks like it's still slightly shifted to the right, although it was tracking just fine. Also my strut mounts had been bad, so I swapped to Steeda HDs and somehow that made the problem worse.
I know that part of the problem is that I have terrible front tires and two wheels bent at the barrel, luckily I just ordered a new set so I should have that squared away soon. I'm only worried that I'll get this huge investment put on my car and then have to worry about the car shaking at speed again. It's just very hard locating the problem as I've inspected everything over and over again and nothing else is bent. I also took the car on the freeway last night to check it out, very minimal shaking even at 70. It's like the car only does it when it feels like it, but when it gets going it's violent enough to scare me.
Here's my alignment specs after installing the strut mounts and everything else.
Front
Cross Camber: 0.1
Cross Caster: 0.1
Cross SAI: 0.0
Total Toe: 0.11
Rear
Cross Camber : -.01
Total Toe -0.07
Thrust Angle -0.01
Thanks

Bent wheels will cause that problem. I would get the wheels and tires replaced first before doing anything else. If the car is still vibrating after replacing the wheels and tires then I would look at other things.
