Wake up thread!......
Waiting to receive my 2014 tail lights to swap for my 2011 assemblies. Along with some Mylar sheeting to fill, finish and paint match any gap left after swapping the assemblies.
Prepping this car as the hand me down to my Son in anticipation of the MACH1 voodoo monster arriving in 2016-2017.
Pics will follow....

This weekend I swapped the tail light assembles out...
Last weekend the 2011-12 assemblies
This weekend the 2013-14 assemblies. I also added a white Vinyl lower shroud to fill the gap. Although the gap was minor to begin with.
Before the update the Assemblies popped out more. Possibly an attempt for more dimension compared to 2005-09 model years.
Now the 2013-14 tails follow to concave surface of the decklid and don't have the drops along the bumper. I also tweaked a set of clear chrome 1999-2004 rear bumper reflectors with a sliver of red reflective tape inside them to add some help in the back to avoid anyone mezmerized with the new tails from rear ending me. When a light shines on them they reflect back the color red...yet they are a white hue normally ... pretty slick
Although the previous tails were nice..they were always lacking a bit of visual pop.
Now they look like they should have been there all along.
I'm going to get adjusted to the new look. Then consider putting on a decklid blackout. Although just the tail light swap alone is pretty dramatic. I also added the Monster tail light sequencers so when I hit the brakes its a sequential visual pop as well. Pretty slick.
BOOM
