This is my first mustang. I always wanted one and my wife wanted the convertible so we both win.

Anyone install axle backs on their own. I was wondering if it is as easy as the video says or if i should just pay a shop tp pop them on. They shouldn't charge to much i would think.

They're easy to install even if you're not mechanically included. Watch the videos and then get under your car to look things over and then dive in. A couple bolts and nuts and you're done. Shouldn't take more than 30-45 minutes or 60 if you really take your time.
If you're not comfortable doing the work yourself and do not have any inclined friends, ask around for a reputable garage and have them put'em on.

Great looking car. I love that grille. Definitely my favorite one for the model.

It is stupid simple to change axlebacks. The factory cans get in the way a little bit when trying to remove bolts, but most aftermarket axlebacks are smaller and are very easy to bolt in. Use some P'Blaster on the barrel bolts that hold the inlet clamp to the rest of the exhaust piping. I broke one of them and had to make a mid-change run to buy a new bolt.

I've installed multiple axlebacks on my 07GT, got lazy this time and had Midas do it for me. I went with the Ford Racing GT500's, glad I did! Good luck!!

Very nice. I picked up my white GT/CS a few months ago. I put put Roushs on it and they were a bit obnoxious for my taste at WOT. I also got pulled over for being too loud. I had Borla S types on my 2011 and loved them. I ended up going with GT500 axle backs in the end and love them. They are plenty aggressive but don't sound over the top. I think if you stick with Roush, Borla, Corsa or Ford Racing you will be fine. They all sound better than stock.
