Default Decisions Decisions!

Ok I'm torn between the airaid race cai with bama tunes or the jlt series 3 with bama tunes, both with the new x4. AM claims 35hp and 30tq with the airaid and the price is $650.74 with a discount. Jlt is 30hp and 32tq and price is $629.99. Is the airaid worth the extra $$ or just go with the cheaper jlt? Any input is greatly appreciated!

I had the JLT3 with the Bama tune. It made big difference for me. Never had the car dynoed but you can feel the difference.
That being said, I have a JLT3 intake up for sale

The CAI makes little difference; so little so that even the dyno can barely detect the difference since the differences are smaller than the variance you'll get from run-to-run with the identical setup. The tune is about 80% of the power gainer of the combo. Pick which CAI appeals to your eyes and wallet.

Yeah I know it's mainly the tune. I was just asking if anyone knew of any real difference of the 2. I'll probably go with the JLT just for the fact it's cheaper lol

I went with steeda just cause it looked the best and plastic stays cooler than metal. Seemed like it had the most plastic over the others anyways.

It really just preference. You won't see any HP difference between any of them on a dyno. It's all the tune. What the company "claims" doesn't mean anything

I was stating that AM had them on their dyno. Not what the company claimed.....

You'll see very similar gains with both the JLT and Airaid Intake. I've actually ran both on my 2011 GT and didn't notice a different between cold air intakes. The gains you're seeing is all in the tune and about 5-10 hp from the intake.

Let us know if you have any questions or need some assistance in the near future! We'd be glad to help you out. Our Mustang Experts are here Monday-Friday from 9AM-9PM EST and Saturdays from 9AM-5:30PM EST. If you want to hit them up, their number is 866.727.1266. I can also have one of them call you directly.
