Default need exhaust advise please

I recentlyi picked up a 2010 GT, Candy Red w/every opition available and a bunch up upgrades: Steeda Pullies, Steeda ProFlow CAI, BBK Catted X-pipe, SCT tuned, 3.73 gears, GT500 Brembo kit, 18" Gt500 wheels w/45mm offset for Brembo fitment.

The car sounds awesome but maybe too raspy for me due to the x pipe so im thinking go with a catback (but not quite sure what the best fit would be).

I read somewhere that w/x-pipes, go with system with straight resonator mufflers (like Pype Boms, Magnapacks or Borla ATAK etc & Not S type mufflers like flowmaster or JBA). I'm also hung up between 2.5" & 3" system.

What do you guys think? right now im leaning towards midmuffler pype boms. what would you do if you had my setup? Any and all advise would be helpful.

Thanks!

TG

With an X-pipe is gonna sound raspy. Maybe go for high flow cats and an h-pipe? I have flowmaster outlaw axlebacks and love them; but they aren't for everyone... They are LOUD. There are lots of exhaust discussion threads on here, do a couple of searches. Also, listen to some exhaust setups; if you have a speaker and subwoofer for your computer, it will give you the most accurate sound.

I don't want to nit pick, but your car does not have every option available. Right off the bat I can see that you don't have the glass roof option, 19" wheels, front scoop and the rear pedestal spoil.

You will pretty much have to ditch the x pipe. that will always add the raspiness. You can pick up and h pipe and some axlebacks for $500-700 or go all in for new headers, H pipe and axlebacks for $1000+

Stay with the 2.5" system also as I dont see you picking up anything good with a 3" system.

well your right... it had the 19's but the previous owner changed em to the 18" GT500. i prefer 18's especially for driving in NYC. and your are correct...no glass roof. i do have deck lid rear spoiler just not pedestal. was pedestal an option? i'm not a fan of pedestal spoilers. And the front scoop? also correct.

other than that... i have security package, comfort package, navi.with MS link inside i have the racing seats with stripes. so...almost every option is what i should have said.

i'm gonna leave the set up i have, i'm just looking to complete the exhaust set up with a good catback, the xpipe is growing on me really quickly . headers are definitely an option too.
