What fuel for new GT?
Do the 2011 and up GT's run on 87 reg or have to have 91 octane?

They can run just fine on 87 but optimized for premium. You lose a few ponies running 87 but everyday normal driving it probably goes unnoticed.

Thanks. My C6 vette needed 91. I know my older 03 GT used Reg. Just was not sure with the new 5.0 as my company pays for my gas and will only pay for 87.

As the others have said, 87 is fine

87 octane is fine, unless you have a custom tune that requires a higher octane.

My 2014 GT runs great on 87. My gas mileage doesn't even change. I'm sure I lose a few HP on the top end that I wasn't using anyway.

Read the OM. It spells it out. But a custom tune will gain more with 87 as well as higher octanes than the stock tune will.

The answers that you seek are in the owners manual. Not sure where the confusion comes from.
If you want the extra performance go with 91/93. If you don't then don't.
