Default Windshield?

Hey guys!

Quick question here, especially those who have owned multiple mustangs besides their S197. My question is, does your S197's windshield chip really easily? Like, really really easily? I do not drive anymore or any different roads than I did with my newedge, and in the 5 years I owned that car it only got 1 rock chip. I've owned my 2014 for 7 months, and the windshield looks like the surface of the moon! I swear a freaking Goose could of hit the windshield of my newedge and nothing would have happened. But on my S197, its like if a grain of sand even looks at my windshield funny, it chips right then and there. It's really really getting annoying now. Is this only my car/are Houston's roads that crap? (The answer to that is yes haha). Again, I travel the same roads as my old car

I have a chip in my windshield and so does my wife on here 2014 vert. When she had a 2002 mustang vert it never had a chip even after 135,000 miles.

This is my first Ford. I previously owned cars from Chrysler and GM. The Ford windshield chips more than any other car I have owned.

I murdered a bird at about 75 MPH in my 2012, did nothing to my windshield. Sadly the roads here are crap, and I have billions of chips in the paint on my hood from rocks being kicked up and such, but no chips in my windshield. *knocks on wood*

DANG!! I don't know which is worse, hood or windshield! I def think Ford changed their glass type or the angle of the windshield attributes to all these dang chips!

Funny you asked...my windshield is intact from rock chips...not so the front of my hood.

My '06 windshield isn't chipped, but it is pretty badly "sand blasted". Very noticeable at night. But, the car has 135K miles on it too. I almost wish I would get a rock crack so I could justify a new one.

I just got a chip in my '14 last week. I got it repaired Saturday. They do seem to chip easily.
